Squad Aims & Objectives

  • To compete at County and Regional championships
  • Compete in Level 1 and 2 open meets

Accepted criteria for entry into Junior Performance:

  • Attend 6 sessions a week
  • Must attend 1 morning session a week
  • Must attend Strength and Conditioning sessions before training
  • 100% commitment to club competitions

Qualifying Squad times:

  • 1500m (Boys) = 21.00:00
  • 800m (Girls) = 10.51:20
  • 400m IM = Girls = 6.12:00 Boys = 6.04:00
  • 25m UW kick with fins = 15 secs (front and back)

Test Sets:

  • 30 x 100 (FR) = 1.20 (2.15)
  • 10 x 200 (IM) = 3.15 (4.15)
  • Kick set 20 x 50 = 50 sec (1 min)
  • 25m UW kick with fins = 15 secs (front and back)
  • 40 x 25 fly = 30 sec (40 sec)

Achieving the minimum required times does not guarantee a place in the squad
